Dune Erosion Handbook

The ecologically and economically important sand dune and barrier beach systems are facing erosion due to both human and naturally induced changes. Resulting from our work in such systems in the Southern Gulf of St. Lawrence, we have created a handbook that outlines a simple procedure for using handheld GPS units to monitor beach erosion. This handbook is appropriate for the use of the general public and NGO agencies.

"A Handbook for the Monitoring of Dune Erosion Using Handheld GPS" is available here.

Please note that this version of the handbook is in grayscale, so images may be hard to define. To obtain a coloured version, please request one from Gretchen Hull by emailing
